Statement of category of documents held by Governor's Secretariat

The Governor being the Constitutional Authority and Approval Authority in respect of statutes, regulations and ordinances framed by respective universities, such information in respect of approval accorded by the Governor would be available in the Government in the concerned Secretariat Department. In addition to the above, various memoranda, applications, petitions etc. received by the Governor from various organizations and persons and the action taken on the same are maintained in files and documents in the Governor's Secretariat. Besides orders of the Governor on financial assistance are maintained in the separate files in the Governor's Secretariat. Records of day to day engagement of the Governor are also maintained. Records of about 1300 files of Pre-Independence period are also available.
